How To Get To the Artist's House
Of course, you can always take a taxi here, but if you prefer to take the MRT you need to head to Bang Phai station. Once you get there, head to exit 4. You can either take a motorcycle ride, which costs around 15 BHT per person, or you can walk 1km towards Soi 28 for about 15 minutes.
The Experience
We started our journey with some delicious Thai food at one of the local restaurants (you can check which one in my Google Maps guide). It is located right by the river - such a cool spot for a meal with a view! The vibe there is super authentic, and I was really into the decorations. I went for the classic pad Thai, so good!
After lunch, we headed to the Artist’s House. It's a really fun spot where you can get creative with all sorts of activities, like making bracelets or painting a calendar. There’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Interested in what's on offer? Check out the activities and prices below (as of February 2024). Please note that I used Google Translate for the picture on the right, so it is not perfect.
The Artist House stands out with its artsy vibe. You'll find colourful murals all over the walls, and the place is full of unique decor. Everywhere you look, there's creativity just waiting to inspire you.

After making our bracelets, we explored the area further. There are some beautiful souvenir shops and snack places. We got some desserts in one of the stands. I got myself a coconut ice cream and a kanom tiam. Both delicious!

We also discovered a 100-year-old bridge with decorated wooden blocks hanging from it. We asked around, and we managed to find the place where we could paint the wooden blocks: Neighborhoodgoodmoment.
It is a cosy cafe where you can sit and let your artistic side shine as you work your magic on wooden blocks with the markers they have. The cafe also offers scrapbooking! The staff was super friendly, and it was a great spot to relax.
We decorated our block and hung it on the bridge, making a wish as we did so.

Things To Take Into Consideration
When you're getting ready for your visit, here are a few key things to keep in mind to make sure you have a great time:
Make sure you have some cash with you. Some places might not take cards, so having cash handy will save you from any payment hiccups.
There is no AC anywhere, so be careful if you are going on a hot day. Be sure to pack water, wear light clothes, and keep hydrated to beat the heat.
Be careful with the motorbikes! They go fast and you might bump into one when you least expect it. Safety first!
Staying Connected: Getting a SIM Card
For uninterrupted connectivity during your visit to Bangkok, it is recommended to purchase a local SIM card. You can conveniently acquire physical SIM cards at the airport for a reasonable price, offering data services and the convenience of making local calls.
I am a big fan of eSIM cards, I just love the convenience! For a hassle-free alternative, you can consider Airalo. Experience a smooth connectivity process with convenient instant activation and direct plan management from your device. Just download the eSIM and start using it right away!
Conclusion
When planning your visit to Bangkok, be sure to include a stop at the Artist’s House in your itinerary. This unique destination offers a blend of creativity and tranquillity that you won't want to miss. The vibrant art scene and peaceful surroundings make the Artist’s House a must-visit location in the busy city of Bangkok.
